一、持居留簽證入境或於境內獲發居留簽證者，應於入境或取得居留簽證後之二週內申辦居留證(否則將依情節輕重，繳納新臺幣 2,000 至 10,000 元罰鍰)。

Those who enter with a residence visa or obtain a residence visa within the country must apply for the Alien Residence Certificate within two weeks of entry or obtaining the visa. Failure to do so may result in a penalty ranging from NT$2,000 to NT$10,000, depending on the severity of the situation.

二、所需文件：Required Documents:

1.  初次辦理  For First-time Application:

(1) 申請表（須黏貼依中華民國規定之合格 2 吋照片）Application form (with affixed qualified 2-inch photos as per ROC regulations).

(2) 護照正本（護照驗畢後歸還）Original passport (returned after verification).

(3 )護照基本資料頁及簽證頁影印本 Photocopies of the passport's information page and visa page.

(4) NTD$1,000; NTD$1,000 (Cash)

(5) 備註：如欲自行前往申請延期者，則無須提供學生證正、反面，但須至推進大樓註冊組申請在學證明（在學證明須提供申請者的中英文名字）Note: For those who wish to apply for an extension personally, student ID cards (both front and back) are not necessary. However, they must visit the registration office at the Administration Building to apply for proof of enrollment (which must include the applicant's name in both Chinese and English).

三、申請居留證延期（已具有居留證、但非於最後一年申請延期）Applying for an Extension of the Alien Residence Certificate (Already possessing an ARC, but not applying for an extension in the final year):

(1) 申請表（須黏貼依中華民國規定之合格 2 吋照片）Application form (with affixed qualified 2-inch photos as per ROC regulations).

(2) 護照及居留證正本（護照驗畢後歸還）Original passport and Alien Residence Certificate (returned after verification).

(3) 護照基本資料頁及簽證頁影印本Photocopies of the passport's information page and visa page.

(4) NTD$1,000 (Cash)

(5) 學生證正、反面影印本（學生證須蓋註冊章）Photocopies of both sides of the student ID card (with the registration stamp)

(6) 備註：如欲自行前往申請延期者，則無須提供學生證正、反面，但須至推進大樓註冊組申請在學證明（在學證明須提供申請者的中英文名字）Note: For those who wish to apply for an extension personally, student ID cards (both front and back) are not necessary. 四、申請居留證延期（已具有居留證、並於最後一年申請延期）Applying for an Extension of the Alien Residence Certificate (Already possessing an ARC and applying for an extension in the final year):

五、 申請時間   Application Period :

居留證有效期限為一年，每年到期日前須申請延期。未遵守此項規定者，移民署將依規定開罰新臺幣 10,000 至 50,000 元之罰款，情節嚴重者甚至會被要求出境重新申請簽證，因此請同學務必配合相關規定，以免受罰。 The Alien Residence Certificate (ARC) is valid for one year, and an extension must be applied for before its annual expiration date. Failure to adhere to this regulation may result in fines ranging from NT$10,000 to NT$0,000 imposed by the Immigration Office. In severe cases, individuals might even be asked to exit and reapply for a visa. Therefore, students are strongly urged to comply with these regulations to avoid penalties.

居留證申請時間如下 The application periods for the ARC are as follows：

1. 春季班的學生須於每年春季班開學後的三天內（居留證有效期限至每年的 3 月 30 日），備妥上述相關文件，至國際事務處辦理延期。Students enrolled in the Spring semester must apply for an extension within three days after the start of classes (valid until March 30 each year) by preparing the aforementioned documents and visiting the International Affairs Office.

2. 秋季班的學生須於每年秋季班開學後的三天內（居留證有效期限至每年的 9 月 30 日），備妥上述相關文件，至國際事務處辦理延期。Students enrolled in the Fall semester must apply for an extension within three days after the start of classes (valid until September 30 each year) by preparing the aforementioned documents and visiting the International Affairs Office.

六、 移民署最新修訂法規（2014.04.29）Latest Immigration Office Amendments (April 29, 2014):

根據外國人停留居留及永久居留辦法第二十二條之一之修正內容，應屆畢業生如欲申請延期者，須於居留證到期日前一個月內，備妥以下文件，自行至高市移民署申請延期（有效期限最長為 6 個月）：According to the amendment to Article 22-1 of the Regulations Governing Visiting, Residency, and Permanent Residency of Foreigners, graduating students wishing to apply for an extension must, within one month before the ARC's expiration, prepare the following documents and personally apply for an extension at the Kaohsiung Immigration Office (with a maximum extension period of 6 months):

如何前往移民署： 移民署在花蓮有辦事處。如須自行前往移民署辦理延期者，請依循以下方式前往： To get to the Hualien County Service Station of the National Immigration Agency in Hualien, you can follow these directions:

1. 內政部移民署花蓮縣服務站From National Dong Hwa University:

(1)東華大學 →公車（301）→ 郵政總局 → 步行5分鐘(約350公尺) → 抵達「內政部移民署花蓮縣服務站」 Take Bus 301 to the Chunghua Post Office. Walk approximately 5 minutes (around 350 meters) to reach the "National Immigration Agency Hualien County Service Station”.

(2) 東華大學 →公車（1121）經花蓮轉運站→大同市場→步行約1分鐘→抵達「內政部移民署花蓮縣服務站」 Take Bus 1121 to Hualien Transfer Station via Daitong Market. Walk for about 1 minute to arrive at the "National Immigration Agency Hualien County Service Station."

(3) 東華大學 →公車（1121）→平和→步行約1分鐘→花蓮轉運站→公車（1122）→大同市場→步行約1分鐘→抵達「內政部移民署花蓮縣服務站」 Take Bus 1121 to Pinghe. Walk for about 1 minute to Hualien Transfer Station. Then, take Bus 1122 to Daitong Market. Finally, walk for about 1 minute to arrive at the "National Immigration Agency Hualien County Service Station."
